This aerial arts based workshop explores foundational level aerial hammock skills* with focus on embracing joyful movement. It is an engaging, acrobatic workout that uses hammock to develop strength, flexibility, confidence and body awareness. It combines both fitness and creative movement.
The class begins with a warm up to prepare the body and mind for the “flying and playing” ahead: a combo of acrobatic poses and transitions on the aerial hammock, and finishes with a cool down.
Each pose and transition is broken down step-by-step with time to practice and refine technique and creative expression. The poses involve wraps and inversions using the hammock as a prop, which will both support and challenge you while you are suspended in the air.
