COURSE CONTENTS
Asana (Yoga Postures): Go beyond simply doing the poses and learn how to understand and teach them with clarity and confidence. We explore alignment, modifications, benefits and contraindications across key categories: foundational poses, standing postures, core work, forward folds, hip openers, backbends, twists and inversions - supporting both depth in practice and precision in teaching.
Teaching Methodology: Develop the essential skills of effective yoga teaching, including cueing, demonstration, hands-on assists and intelligent sequencing. You’ll learn how to create safe, inclusive and well-structured classes, while refining your own authentic voice as a teacher.
Practice Teaching: Step into the role of teacher through guided practice, constructive feedback and reflection. With multiple opportunities to lead, observe and refine your skills, you’ll build confidence and presence in a supportive learning environment.
Anatomy & Physiology: Build a practical understanding of yoga anatomy, physiology and basic biomechanics to support safe and effective teaching. With a focus on the musculoskeletal system, breath mechanics and common injuries, this part of the training helps you adapt yoga for different bodies and experience levels.
Yoga Philosophy & Ethics: Connect with the roots of yoga through key philosophical teachings and explore how they apply to modern life. This part of the training also addresses ethics, scope of practice, boundaries and teacher self-care, supporting you in teaching with clarity and integrity.
